Kia Ora!
What a year it has been!
The choir has put in a tremendous effort into learning a large amount of repertoire over the year. Not only did we place our annual camp and tour events in the first semester, but this semester, the choir took part in Verdi’s Requiem, performing with the mighty Orpheus Choir and Orchestra Wellington on September 8th. We then performed in the ‘Triple C’ concert with Wellington Young Voices, FilChoro, and the New Zealand Youth Choir the very next day!
Our schedule this year has been fairly gruelling, but the choir has been able to accomplish so much in that time! This makes us particularly excited to bring you all our final concert series of the year, under the same title; Something Borrowed, Something New.
This concert showcases pieces from last trimester, and a few new ones, including the beautiful Samoan song “Le Masina E”. We are very excited to see you all there and end the year with a bang!
The concert will be held at Wellington Central Baptist Church (on Boulcott Street). Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7pm start. Cash on the door – $15 waged, $10 unwaged.
